Czy moje dziecko jest bezpieczne w foteliku?
Foteliki można podzielić na przedział dotyczący kategorii wagowych:
- 0-13 kg , fotelik-nosidełko dla niemowlaków
- 9-18 kg dla dzieci od okołu 1 roku życia do około 4 raku życia
- 15-36 kg fotelik przeznaczony dla przedszkolaków i dzieci w wieku szkolnym
Istnieje również inna klasyfikacja uwzględniająca wzrost dziecka, tzw. norma i-Size. Powyższe kategorie stworzono na podstawie wielu badań naukowych, ekspertyz i statystyk powypadkowych. Zanim zaczniesz wybierać fotelik, zapoznaj się z poniższymi zasadami.
Zmierz i zważ swoje dziecko. Pozwoli to na zakwalifikowanie go do odpowiedniej kategorii. Następnie zweryfikuj, czy wiek dziecka pozwala na użycie fotelika z przedziału, który wybrałeś. Pierwszy fotelik 0-13 kg przeznaczony jest dla dzieci do ok. 1. roku życia i zawsze należy montować go tyłem do kierunku jazdy. Praw fizyki nie oszukasz, taka jazda jest kilkukrotnie bezpieczniejsza (nie zapominajmy, że główka naszego dziecka to dalej 1/3 jego powierzchni ciała). Pamiętaj głowa nie MOŻE wystawać z fotelika! Kolejna kategoria to foteliki z przedziału 9-18 kg. Na rynku znajdziemy foteliki montowane tyłem i przodem do kierunku jazdy. Tu już decyzja należy do samego rodzica i oczywiście dziecka w jakiej pozycji będzie się czuł komfortowo. Oczywiście kolejny raz powtórzymy PRAW FIZYKI NIE OSZUKASZ! Gdy dziecko wyrasta już z niego zmień go na ostatni już fotelik z kategorii wagowej 15-36 kg. Jest to klasyczny fotelik z wysokim oparciem i zagłówkiem, a dziecko przypina się w nim zwykłym pasem samochodowym. Należy pamiętać o tym, że oprócz ogólnych zasad dotyczących wagi i wzrostu dziecka, zawsze trzeba wziąć pod uwagę jego indywidualne cechy, gdyż każde dziecko rozwija się we własnym tempie.
Podczas poszukiwań możesz spotkać się z propozycją zakupu fotelika z dużym zakresem wagowym "od dziś do końca", czyli na przykład od 0 do 36 kg. Uważaj! uniwersalne foteliki nie zagwarantują maksimum bezpieczeństwa dziecku w razie zderzenia, ponieważ ich konstrukcja nie uwzględnia dynamicznie zmieniających się proporcji ciała dziecka. Owszem, one posłużą do końca, ale do końca ... życia dziecka podczas wypadku!
Przewożenie dziecka na przednim siedzeniu?
Polskie prawo nie zabrania przewożenia dzieci na przednim fotelu pasażera. Dziecko w foteliku może jechać tuż obok kierowcy i choć nie jest to najbezpieczniejsze miejsce w całym aucie, wielu rodziców może zdecydować się na takie rozwiązanie.

Kategorycznie nie wolno umieszczać dziecka w foteliku tyłem do kierunku jazdy, gdy samochód ma włączoną poduszkę powietrzną !

Wybierając się w dłuższą podróż, lepiej postawić na bezpieczniejsze miejsca na tylnej kanapie auta niż fotel pasażera przy kierowcy.
